Sorry, our services are closed at the moment.
We will be back and running again as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can call Samaritans on 116 123 to speak to someone over the phone, or text ‘shout‘ to 85258 for free and confidential support 24/7.
Please read before contacting us:
We’re here to provide a listening ear and support for students in Bristol aged 18 and over.
Please note, we are not a crisis service. If you are in an emergency situation or need immediate help, please call 999 to get the assistance you need.
Your calls are confidential. However, in line with our policies, if you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, we will contact emergency services (999) with your permission. If permission is not given, we will need to signpost you to more appropriate services and end the call.
If you are not a student in Bristol aged 18 or over, or if we determine that Bristol Nightline isn’t the best service for your needs, we will do our best to guide you toward other organizations or resources that can provide the right support.
Why can’t I get through to Nightline?
If you’re calling on number unavailable, we are currently unable to accept these kinds of calls. We understand that this can be a comforting feature of our service for a lot of callers, but please be reassured that we do not store phone numbers unless they are abusive to our service.
We aim to be able to take number unavailable calls in the future, and we will update our platforms when this is the case.
Who can I contact if you’re not open?
If you need to speak to someone, you can text the word ‘Shout’ to 85258 for free and confidential 24/7 support with whatever is on your mind.
If you wish to speak to someone over the phone, you can call Samaritans on 116 123.
Please head to our alternative services page for full details about other services you can contact if you’re in need of support. If your life is at imminent risk, please call 999 for immediate help.
